Group tour to Mexico


Mexico 12 Days, 11 Nights

Departure:

Day 1: Mexico City
Arrival in Mexico: international airport and transfer  to the hotel in Mexico City.

Day 2: Mexico- Morelia City- Patzcuaro
American Breakfast included Then we leave our hotel we travelling to  Morelia City. Time for lunch (not included). Visit Historical Centre of Morelia, (“Historical Patrimony of the Humanity”, UNESCO): the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the Main Square also known as the Martyrs’ Square, Clavijero Palace, the monumental aqueduct and the Church of “Gualupita”.  Afterward continue to Patzcuaro, to your selected hotel.

Day 3: Patzcuaro (city tour) – Guadalajara.
American Breakfast included. We visit the ancient capital of the “Purepecha” kingdom, Patzcuaro, with its special colonial atmosphere, enjoying sites such as the Church of Our Lady of Health, the House of the Eleven Patios, the Gertrudis Bocanegra Library with its mural by Juan O’Gorman, and the Plaza Don Vasco. Time for lunch (not included). Continue to Guadalajara, to your selected hotel.

Day 4: Guadalajara Tequila, City Tour of Guadalajara
American Breakfast included. This morning, we will go to the famous region of Tequila (“Human Historical Landscape Patrimony”, UNESCO); we´ll go to the Old Hacienda San Jose del Refugio, the best distillery of this noble liquor. Time for lunch (not included). At the afternoon you will have a walking tour by the magnificent city of Guadalajara, knows and admiring the facades of many colonial building;  the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Degollado Theatre, and the Cabañas Institute. At the end of this day you have free time and we stay for the night at the hotel.

Day 5: Guadalajara Tequila, Handicraft centre “Tlaquepaque”Guadalajara
American Breakfast included. Free Morning for enjoy yourself.  At midday  we´ll go to the handicraft centre in Mexico “Tlaquepaque”: the largest one of Mexico City.  At our arrival there, we’ll have lunch included in one of its traditional restaurants. Afterwards we’ll have time to wander leisurely through art galleries and workshops that display an amazing variety of fine Mexican handicrafts. Thereafter we continue the journey to Guanajuato. After arrival to the hotel we stay here for the night.

Day 6: Guanajuato (City Tour) – San Miguel de Allende
American Breakfast included. Visit the historical downtown, (“World Cultural Heritage”, UNESCO) with its´great architecture. You will see  the Juarez Theatre, the Church of Our Lady of Guanajuato, the University, and Hidalgo Market, and the legendary side streets. In the afternoon we’ll go to San Miguel de Allende City to visit downtown. This appealing colonial village has several unusual buildings eg. the Parish Church of San Miguel, Municipal Palace, formerly the Casa Consistorial, and the House of the Mayorazgo de la Canal. At the end of our visit you´ll go to your selected hotel.

Day 7: San Miguel Allende – Queretaro de Arteaga- México
American Breakfast included. We´ll go to the city of Queretaro in central Mexico, which  is the last of the colonial jewels in our trip,  you’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour for at the hart of the city, admiring buildings like: the House of Corregidora, the Palace of la Marquesa de la Villa del Villar del Aguila and the House of the Count of Sierra Gorda. Afterwards in route we’ll stop for the lunch (not included). Later on return to Mexico City, you will be to lodge at your selected hotel.

Day 8: Mexico City Tour & Anthropology Museum
American breakfast included. We’ll have sightseeing to the historical downtown. Arrival in the “Zocalo”, (main square), visiting National Palace the Diego Rivera’s mural (might be closed some days) and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Stop in one of the handicraft centre. You will tour the Paseo de la Reforma and Chapultepec area, including a visit to the Aztec hall in the Anthropological Museum: it is closed on Mondays.  Optionally you can take our afternoon tour of Pyramids of Teotihuacan & Shrine of Guadalupe so on.

Day 9: One Day in Taxco & Cuernavaca
American breakfast included. Begin our tour by visiting the Robert Brady Museum and the Cathedral in Cuernavaca. Continue on to “The Silver city” of Taxco where there is a visit to a silver shop (30 min.). Time for your lunch in the Posada de la Mision hotel (not included). In the afternoon, we visit downtown, with the highlights of Santa Prisca Church, its streets, squares and a lovely view of Taxco. Return to Mexico City.

Day 10: Puebla Y Cholula Un Dia
After American breakfast (included) we begin new exciting tour travelling to Santa Maria Tonantzintla to visit the lavishly decorated chapel. Continue on to the Archaeological Zone of Cholula to visit the ruins of the largest pyramid in America, there after going to Puebla with a break for a lunch (not included). A city tour round Puebla, with its beautiful architecture, “Historical Patrimony of Humanity”: (UNESCO-heritage). Visit Main Cathedral, the main square and we’ll see Talavera  pottery is a type of majolica ceramic;  afterward continues on to the fantastic Rosario Chapel. Return to México and stay here for the night.

Day 11:  Mexico City
American breakfast is served at the hotel (included). Free time and you have a grate opportunity to see what you like. Stay for the night at the hotel and have a rest before long way to home.

Day 12: Departure Transfer Out Mexico city
After breakfast we’ll bring you to your departure terminal in Mexico international airport, in advance (3 ½ hr. International flights, 2 ½ hr. Domestic flights and 2 hr. Bus stations).
